Palm gavel in Australian Jarrah wood. This unique, nicely coloured, wooden handmade palm gavel is an unusual seldom seen wood with great grain and a natural coppery red colour. Great for auctioneers on the move. This ergonomically designed pocket palm gavel sounds good, looks good and feels good.
The wood was originally used for Australian railway sleepers, this piece travelled to the the UK in the 1930’s and was used in a bridge in Llanymynech, Wales – so it is a very well travelled piece of wood with a history all of its own.
Designed and made by me not mass produced. Each of my palm gavels is different, unique and beautifully finished with beeswax polish to let the natural colour of the wood shine through, a great wooden gift or wooden present for a mason’s apron pocket, an auctioneer, Best Man or toastmaster and anyone that appreciates the unique richness and quality of the grain and colours of natural finely crafted wooden items.
