Welcome to Tommy Woodpecker Woodworks, where every item is individually handcrafted by me using traditional woodworking skills developed over more than 30 years of woodworking experience. Nothing is mass‑produced, and no two pieces are ever identical. I work with responsibly sourced hardwoods and reclaimed timber to create unique wooden gifts. Sustainability sits at the heart of everything I create. Wherever possible, I use responsibly sourced hardwoods alongside reclaimed and recycled timber rescued from antique furniture and historic wooden objects, giving beautiful wood a new life.Every purchase supports traditional British craftsmanship and a small independent business dedicated to producing high-quality handmade wooden products rather than mass-produced alternatives. I can spend days carefully selecting the right piece of wood for each item I make.  Everyone loves something that is truly unique and not mass produced, designed and handmade by a genuine craftsman.

I aim to combine the two. I often spend days selecting the perfect piece of timber before work even begins, ensuring the grain, colour and natural figure complement the finished design. Because everything is individually made, once an item has sold it may never be repeated exactly. A few weeks ago I needed to find a gavel for a board on which I serve. After a quick look on the Internet I found Tommy Woodpecker Woodworks and liked what I saw. While I soon discovered that Tommy lives in England, I decided to contact him anyway even though I live in the United States. I have not been disappointed. Tommy was very easy to work with through email and I soon received an elegant, effective, and hand made wooden gavel on my doorstep in Exeter, New Hampshire. I highly recommend Tommy and his craftsmanship, even to those who live on other continents.
