A distinctive handmade wooden gavel with matching striking block, crafted from rarely seen buttery-coloured Lemon Wood. Smooth, handsome and naturally individual, this one-of-a-kind gavel is ideal as a special gift, display piece, auctioneer’s gavel, ceremonial gavel, chairman’s gavel or keepsake for anyone who appreciates finely made wooden items.
Designed and made by me in Shropshire, this is not a mass-produced item. Each Tommy Woodpecker Woodworks gavel is slightly different, with its own natural grain, colour and character. The Lemon Wood has been carefully shaped, sanded and finished with beeswax polish so the warm yellow tones and unique figuring of the timber can speak for themselves.

Size
Overall hammer length: approximately 200 mm / 8 inches end to end. The striking block has black wool baize on the underside to help protect surfaces. My discreet logo is placed on the base beneath the baize, confirming it as an original Tommy Woodpecker Woodworks piece.
Care
Keep out of direct sunlight. Dust and polish occasionally to maintain a deep natural shine for years to come. As with all natural woods, the colour may enrich and darken beautifully with age.
