Boxed Wooden Palm Gavel in English Yew & Wenge

A very distinctive, totally unique, handmade, dovetail jointed, brass hinged boxed wooden palm gavel set in English Yew. The matching palm gavel is in English Yew. The beauty of the grain in both the box and gavel is difficult to capture in a photo. The box is dovetail jointed, with a wenge border. The box lid is hinged with good quality brass butt hinges and closes with a brass clasp. Inside the box is the English Yew palm gavel with gorgeous grain. The base of the box is lined with royal blue wool baize. The gavel sits on an English Yew gavel rest. Only one and when it has gone it has gone for good!
Designed and made by me in Shropshire not mass produced; each of my gavels is slightly different and unique, beautifully finished in beeswax so the natural beauty of the wood shines through. An ideal very special presentation gift for Auctioneers, Judges, Toastmasters, the Chair and anyone who loves the unique natural quality, colours and grain of finely crafted wooden items. Size
The box is approximately 131mm or 5 and 3/16th inches long, 138mm or 5 and 1/2 inches wide and approx. 75mm or 3 inches high. The palm gavel is approx. 70mm or 3 inches tall.
Care Instructions
Best kept out of direct sunlight. Dust and polish occasionally with beeswax to be rewarded with a deep shine.

All items are carefully packaged to ensure they reach you safely with labels and care instructions they are gift ready, dispatched 1st class post, courier or airmail. Overseas purchasers are responsible for paying for any duties that apply.
Personalise
There is an option to personalise this item with a polished, quality jeweller’s brass plaque on the outside or inside of the box lid or recessed into the centre of the striking block. Please remember to leave additional time for this to be personalised for you add the inscription required to your sales order on checkout. The additional cost of the plaque varies depending on the complexity of the inscription from logos to lettering and the number of lines. The plaque will then be mounted or recessed for you accordingly, prior to dispatch. Just advise of your requirements on checkout the plaque can be on the inside lid or outside lid of the box.
